Family Law - An Overview
Mitch Tollison devotes much of his practice to helping his clients find solutions to their family law problems, including divorce, post-divorce, juvenile matters. Mr. Tollison has more than thirteen years of experience handling a multitude of issues that arise in a divorce proceeding, including complicated marital property issues, business and asset valuation, custody and visitation issues, child support, spousal maintenance, domestic violence and orders for protection. When circumstances change after the divorce is final, he assists his clients with post-divorce issues such as contempt, modification of child support, visitation and custody.
In addition to handling divorces, which is a large part of Mitch Tollison's family law practice, he also assists clients with adoption, an issue that often arises in a divorce proceeding. Juveniles who are facing allegations of truancy, delinquency or criminal charges or are in need of protection need representation by an experienced lawyer. Mr. Tollison's juvenile practice is centered on the rights and welfare of juveniles who have encountered the legal system at an early age. His goal is to make sure their needs are met and their rights are protected.
